PPR3 is a highly innovative project aimed at developing new prosthetic finger phalanges articulated, biomimetic, and with sensori-motor functions, controlled by both invasive and non-invasive interfaces able to perform intuitive motor control and realistic sensory feedback. PPR3 wants to research modular solutions with personalized adaptation capabilities with reference to both the level of amputation and number of amputate fingers. Additionally, PPR3 will investigate new techniques and methods of energy harvesting to be integrated in a biomechatronic prosthetic hand.
